Welcome to the SuperCity Hot Shots Tennis League!

This is a tennis competition for children aged 5-10 years of age split into categories using the Hot Shots stages of Red and Orange endorsed by Tennis New Zealand.  There will be one league covering the regions of Auckland and the North Shore.

 

The Auckland league will be held at Forrest Hill Tennis Centre in Forrest Hill every Saturday from 2pm for 6 consecutive weeks commencing October 26th 2019. Click here to register for Auckland

Registration period
Registrations now open and will end on Friday the 18th of October 2019.

  

Cost 
We have opened up registrations to individual players who can not form a team. The cost for an individual is $50 per league term. If you enter as an individual player we will partner you up with another player/s to form a team. Team costs are dependant on how many are in a team - minimum players to register as a team is 2 players - maximum is 4. Please view registration details for costs per player/team. Note: Costs are pro-rated down the more players entered as a team.

LEAGUE CONDITIONS

NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.

No phone entries will be accepted and no entries will be accepted verbally.

Entries received without payment by the deadline date of 25th of October 2019 will not be accepted.

 

DRAWS & RESULTS: Will be posted on the Supercity Hot Shots Tennis League website from the 26th of October 2019.

 

Players should arrive 15 minutes prior to their Hot Shots category playing time to find out court allocations and ensure team members and opposition players have arrived.

 

WITHDRAWALS: made less than 4 days before the commencement of the league must be supported by a Doctors or Medical certificate in order to obtain a 80% credit for your entry fee. No refunds will be given for late withdrawals without documentation.

 

RAIN POLICY:

If the league day has to be suspended due to expected bad weather the team manager will be notified the day before. It is the responsibility of the team manager to communicate this to the team players. If team managers have had no notification the team needs to turn up on the day. If the weather is unsuitable on the day of the league the umpires will make the decision at the venue if it is cancelled. No re-matches will be played, however, if a team turns up to play without the other team, the team that turns up will be allocated the points. If both teams turn up and matches cannot be played, points will be split equally and awarded to both teams.

 

DRESS CODE: Appropriate sports clothes and sports shoes only. Jeans, dress pants, long sleeve shirts or dress jackets will not be accepted for health and safety reasons. Teams may opt to have a team t-shirt or other appropriate clothes items to identify themselves as members of the same team, however this is not compulsory

 

ADJUDICATION: Referees will be made available for each match.

 

TENNIS NEW ZEALAND CODE OF CONDUCT and the rules of tennis approved by Tennis NZ and Hot Shots will apply.

 

PARENTAL INTERFERENCE OR SIDELINE COACHING IS NOT PERMITTED: Any disputes, problems, queries are to be referred to the allocated referee or if necessary in writing via email to the relevant regional league (Auckland or North Shore).

 

EQUIPMENT: All equipment to play the league will be provided at the venue, such as lower compression tennis balls, smaller nets, reduced court size markings etc. However, it is advisable that each player has their own racquet (see sizing according to their age under categories).).

 

CANCELLATIONS: There will be no cancellations, unless due to weather (see rain policy). If for any unforeseen reason the venue is unavailable on any of the dates the league runs, team managers will be notified in advance.

 

ACCIDENTS & INJURY POLICY: Both venues will have access to a basic first aid kit, with contents which can be administered to a player by the referee or team manager in the case of an accident or minor injury during play. In the event of a major accident or injury, an accident report form will need to be filled out and if deemed serious by a trained first aid referee, an ambulance can be called out for urgent medical attention. It is the responsibility of the team manager to ensure they accompany the player to any off venue medical centre or hospital. In the case of an emergency, if the parent/guardian is not present they will be contacted as soon as possible. If any players have a known medical condition this must be disclosed during registration.

 

CONSENT: In entering this event, I consent to Supercity Hot Shots Tennis League collecting the details on the entry form for the purpose of administering the league. I also acknowledge my right to access and correct this information. This consent is given in accordance with the Privacy Act, 1993. I also confirm that the team entered is eligible for this league, according to their age/ability and category selected and agrees to abide by the leagues rules and conditions.

 

In entering the league, players automatically grants the Supercity Hot Shots Tennis league organizers and sponsors the right in perpetuity to make, use and show pictures of him/her, motion or still, taken during the competition without compensation. I hereby permit the free use of my name, voice or picture to be used in any broadcasting, advertising or promotion or any other way relating to this event pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993.

 

DISCLAIMER: Players and competitors shall not have any claim or right of redress against Supercity Hot Shots Tennis League or its management or officials, staff, volunteers or referees, or any other person involved with the running of this league or any fellow participant in respect of personal injury or the loss of any property or equipment arising in any way howsoever out of the league or any social event or function associated therewith.
